Grit blasting is the operation of forcibly propelling a stream of abrasive material (grit) against a surface under high pressure to smooth a rough surface (the grit blasting away any rough edges), roughen a smooth surface (the grit blasting holes in the surface to create a rough finish), shape a surface, deburr or remove surface contaminants, we can also use this process to help prepare a surface before a coating is applied to it.
Standard and special blast finishing solutions include suction and pressure fed machines for dry blasting and finishing, and equipment for the blasting of life or performance critical components.
